Design and evaluation of emotional educational program. Impact on self-reported emotional intelligence of students in secondary education.

The study conducted in this thesis has been to initially identify major conceptual advances in emotional education to begin after the design of an education program for emotional tutorials 3rd and 4th ESO program EMMA. Subsequently implemented this program in a public high school in Vallès Oriental (Catalonia). In parallel, there has been training in emotional education to train teachers in the school where it was applied.
To measure the effectiveness of the program of activities has been decided to use a design empirical analysis. A quasi-experimental design with experimental groups and collaborators, not equivalent. With pre-test, post-test and post-pre-test. Using the model of self TMMS-24, while the post-test model has been extended, creating the TMMS-24+ adds several items to detect possible effects of improvement in some aspects studied (the self-knowledge, self-control, empathy, assertiveness ...). Possible improvements made as a result of the increase in emotional intelligence expected; as well as student satisfaction regarding the tutorials.
However, the assessment of effectiveness has been supplemented with a qualitative analysis.
Meanwhile, also evaluated the impact of the training program that has had the emotional intelligence of teachers who received the course. It has also evaluated the satisfaction of both students and faculty concerning the program of activities and studies.
Finally, we identified several difficulties in carrying out the program and implement it to finish formulating proposals for improvement.
