On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the online seminar “Knowledge, Use, and Positioning of University Students regarding Generative AI” took place, organized within the framework of the EdU-InA project.
The session, held via Microsoft Teams, brought together faculty members, researchers, and institutional leaders interested in the impact of generative artificial intelligence on higher education.
This seminar was the third webinar in the series “Policies and Educational Practices of Generative AI,” promoted by the project with the aim of sharing research progress related to its Specific Objectives. On this occasion, the seminar was linked to Specific Objective 1.4, which focuses on analyzing Spanish university students’ knowledge, use, and positioning regarding generative artificial intelligence.
The session opened with the keynote presentation “University Students and Generative AI: Between Use and Critical Positioning,” delivered by Linda Castañeda from the University of Murcia.. This was followed by presentations of preliminary results related to Specific Objective 1.4 by members of the project’s research team. The session concluded with an open dialogue with participants, moderated by Mario Grande de Prado (University of León), which allowed for deeper discussion of the topics addressed and the sharing of reflections from different institutional contexts.
The EdU-InA project, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (PID2023-149069OA-I00), aims to contribute to the integration of generative AI in universities based on scientific evidence, ethics and equity, and will continue to develop dissemination activities to share its results with the academic community.
