The Research and Studies Center for Organizational Development (CRiEDO) is a networked center that functions as a knowledge “cluster,” linking topics and lines of work related to organizational development with the aim of intervening in educational processes.
Its structure is conceived and organized through different nodes that, in turn, act as research groups and lines both within the university and across other universities. CRiEDO, as a foundational structure, facilitates interrelationships between groups, creating synergies of ideas and resources and promoting commitments to the needs of individuals, groups, institutions, and society. It is also a dynamic structure that adapts to new social, academic, and personal demands arising in a context marked by dynamism and constant change, and it is connected to more than 200 institutions.
Five of these research lines are organized into two research groups:
- DIGITS Research Group (Digital Technologies and Inclusion in Educational Settings)
DIGITS focuses its activity on two scientific lines: educational technology and guidance and inclusion. Its goal is to promote an inclusive digital society by ensuring equal opportunities and reducing digital divides. The group has been working in both research lines for more than 15 years.
Its main research studies have focused on the integration of generative AI in education, teachers’ digital competence, and the prevention of early school leaving. The scientific achievements of the DIGITS group demonstrate a high level of research excellence, leadership in competitive funding, and a strong commitment to knowledge transfer through indexed high-impact publications, books, external training, the integration of doctoral students into the group, and participation in various educational associations (such as EDUTEC, SEP, Empower EADTU, EERA, VETNET, among others). DIGITS leads international and national projects and maintains contracts with public administrations to address educational needs.
Members of the DIGITS group: Cristina Mercader-Juan (coordinator), Laia Alguacil Mir, Carme Armengol Asparó, Aleix Barrera-Corominas, Jordi Codina Hernández, Micaela Belén de Armas, Anna Díaz-Vicario, Òscar Flores Alarcia, Arnau Gifreu Castells, Ana Elena Guerrero Roldan, Saida López Crespo, Joel Oliveras Lorente, Patricia Olmos Rueda, and Cecilia Inés Suárez Rivarola.
- REDOPS Research Group (Educational Research for Organizational, Professional and Social Development)
REDOPS is a consolidated UAB research group with strong international recognition, dedicated to understanding and transforming educational and social systems from an organizational perspective in order to foster a more inclusive and sustainable society.
Its three interconnected research lines —organizational and professional development, evidence-based education, and healthy and sustainable organizations and territories— promote equality, social cohesion, and the quality of public services. With extensive scientific production, leadership in international and national projects, and multiple collaborations with public institutions, REDOPS demonstrates significant impact on organizational improvement, evidence-based educational practice, and community well-being. The group’s trajectory is reinforced by the academic excellence of its members, international recognition, and leadership roles in scientific organizations.
Members of the REDOPS group: David Rodríguez-Gómez (coordinator), Diego Castro-Ceacero, Aina Cisa Bofarull, Isabel del Arco Bravo, Maria del Mar Duran Bellonch, José Daniel Espinosa Rodríguez, Laura Fornons Casol, Marina Fuentes Arenas, Georgeta Ion, Adolfo Montalvo García, José Luís Muñoz Moreno, Aleix Olondriz Valverde, Gemma París Romia, Anabel Ramos Pla, and Yite Wang.
In addition to these two groups, the research line Educational Change through the Arts (CEArt) focuses on analyzing student learning in the Faculty of Education degrees through the incorporation of innovative experiences that integrate art and education and promote collaborative learning among students, artists, teachers, and children.
The research line on Marketing and communication in educational organizations explores digital marketing and neuromarketing, as well as analyzing internal and external communication programs and processes.
At the same time, throughout the development of CRiEDO, several professional research networks have been established in which it actively participates in governance and management bodies. Among the most significant are RedAGE, FEAEC, EDULID, and LYDERA.
