CRiEDO professor Maria del Mar Duran Bellonch has been part of the jury for the 7th edition of the Raimon Badia Award for Non-Formal Education and Cooperativism, an initiative that promotes innovative projects developed by students from Social Education and Pedagogy degree programmes at Catalan universities.
The verdict was announced on 21 May 2026 during an event held in the Rosa Roig Hall at the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona (Mundet Campus), with the participation of representatives from academia, institutions, and the social economy sector, as well as finalist students, teaching staff, and members of the scientific committee.
In this seventh edition, the first prize, awarded with a €2,000 scholarship, went to the project “Let’s Recover, Reuse and Reintegrate”, submitted under the pseudonym Pont Verd by two Pedagogy students. The proposal stands out for its commitment to the circular economy and the socio-labour inclusion of vulnerable groups, incorporating the values of cooperativism and sustainability as its core pillars.
The jury also granted a runner-up prize of €1,000 to the project “A Destemps”, an initiative aimed at promoting young people’s emotional well-being in the face of pressures derived from fast-paced lifestyles. The proposal creates spaces for peer support and learning to help manage stress, self-demand, and social expectations.
Promoted by the Doble Via cooperative, the Collserola Foundation, and the City Council of Sant Cugat del Vallès, with the collaboration of participating Catalan universities, the Raimon Badia Award aims to recognise academic work with strong theoretical foundations and a clear practical, innovative, and transformative orientation. At the same time, it fosters connections between university education, socio-educational action, and cooperativism.
This year, the award received high participation, with 15 finalist projects from Social Education and Pedagogy degree programmes. The involvement of well-established professionals and academics, including Professor Maria del Mar Duran Bellonch, helps ensure the rigour and quality of this distinction, which is now consolidated as a benchmark in the field of social education and cooperativism.
