New Book on School Leadership Teams

CRiEDO and Fundación Montaner Chile have published the book Leadership of the school management team: innovation strategies for the development of school improvement plans in vulnerable educational environments.

Written by Daniel Villarroel Montaner, Joaquín Gairín Sallán, and Saida López Crespo, the latter two members of CRiEDO, the book analyzes the key role of leadership teams in educational institutions located in vulnerable contexts. It highlights the need for human-centered, strategic, and community-oriented leadership as a means to reduce educational inequalities.

Through a deep understanding of the social context of schools, the study demonstrates how educational practices can be improved, students can be protected, and a more just and equitable education can be promoted. The research combines a solid theoretical framework with fieldwork conducted in the Biobío Region (Chile).
