The doctoral thesis “Methodologies and evaluative strategies applied in the classroom by the teaching staff of the University of Tarapacá. A case study”, corresponds to the Area of applied pedagogy and follows the Research Line: Teacher development.
The research seeks to understand the dynamic structure and its relationship systems, as well as the reasons that motivate the actions of the university faculty. The analysis of this particular social phenomenon tries to discover the social meanings and interpret the scope of their actions, experiences and opinions in their work environment, that is to say, university classrooms.
It should be noted that in the XV Chilean region there is no research that demonstrates the pedagogical competencies of the academic, which motivates and encourages the completion of a thesis that considers as an objective, to determine not only the methods used, but also the degree of competences didactics and their way of evaluating learning. In short, it is intended to propose the paths of innovation, from a traditional teaching towards an integrative constructivist model, responding to the mission and university educational model.
