Facilitadores, barreras y oportunidades en la implementación de la formación dual en Colombia
The debate on the relevance of higher education models is growing, factors such as globalization, youth unemployment and the dismantling of the business sector are issues associated with it. The objective of this study was to analyze the factors that have conditioned the implementation of the dual system education and training model in Colombia, the methodology used was qualitative through interviews and focus groups in the different institutions of higher education in Colombia, that provide dual training programs. The results show that there are 9 relevant aspects to be taken into account in the debate. These results are a contribution to the construction of a theoretical framework of the model in Latin America, and also contribute to the understanding of the usefulness of such training for the closing of gaps between school and business and as the engine of the sophistication of the productive system of the country.
