Issue number 4 of the RedAGE Encounters series has been published under the title Education and Quality Management for Sustainable Development. The volume, published in 2025 by EDO-Serveis, was coordinated by Joaquín Gairín Sallán and Luciano Román Medina.
Education is facing a decisive moment marked by uncertainty, technological acceleration and social complexity, which calls for rethinking its meaning and social responsibility. In this context, the proceedings of the Congress “Education and Quality Management for Sustainable Development” reaffirm that education not only transmits knowledge, but also builds citizenship and promotes sustainable human development, in line with the 2030 Agenda and SDG 4.
The publication brings together contributions from teachers, researchers and professionals, with a prominent role played by the Catholic University–Pedagogical Unit of Carapeguá and the RedAGE network, and highlights that educational quality is a continuous process based on dialogue, innovation and shared responsibility.
The contributions are organised around three interrelated thematic areas:
- Innovation in educational and pedagogical management, addressing teaching ethics, emotional well-being, active methodologies and hybrid education as key elements for reimagining the educational experience.
- Inclusion and diversity, which places equity at the core of educational quality and emphasises the need for policies, training and practices that ensure the full participation of all groups.
- Quality education and sustainability, integrating technology, social responsibility and holistic education to build resilient educational systems committed to their social environment.
Overall, the volume stands as a testimony to the ongoing transformation of education and an invitation to reflect and take action, reaffirming education as an act of hope and a fundamental tool for a more just and sustainable future.
