Daniel Villarroel, collaborator of the Organizational Development Team (EDO), recently took part in the EPA Congress (Evidence for the Classroom), held at the Universidad del Desarrollo, Santiago de Chile, representing the Fundación Montaner Chile – EDO UAB.
His contribution focused on analyzing school leadership and the effectiveness of strategies within the Educational Improvement Plan (PME) in vulnerable contexts. The presentation highlighted how school leadership teams incorporate action plans aimed at addressing students’ academic, emotional, and social needs, providing a comprehensive response to the challenges these environments face.
Among the most relevant conclusions, Villarroel emphasized that the effectiveness of strategies and the leadership exercised by the management team depends on the application of key management concepts, such as:
- Active participation of the educational community.
- Strategic planning of actions.
- Systematic monitoring of progress.
- Support networks between the school and the community.
These elements are essential to ensure that educational improvement plans contribute to equity and quality in vulnerable contexts.
Daniel Villarroel’s participation in this congress reinforces EDO and UAB’s commitment to generating knowledge and transferring best practices in education, especially in environments that require innovative and collaborative solutions.
