On November 19 2025, the Faculty of Education Sciences at UAB hosted the fourth CRiEDO Conference 2025, focused on “Addressing dropout in vocational education: guidance as a framework for ensuring access and success.”
The event began with a keynote lecture on “Guidance as a framework for addressing dropout in vocational education,” delivered by Irene Psifidou, senior expert in European education and training policy/Team Leader at Cedefop. This was followed by a roundtable discussion where professionals shared their experiences in guidance and support as strategies to reduce dropout.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the 4th CRiEDO Award to the Garbí Schools Foundation, recognized for its involvement, commitment, and innovation as an institution with sixty years of pedagogical experience, inspired by its founder and successfully adapting to current educational needs and contexts.
In addition, Maria Rosa Fillat Salvador received the 2nd CRiEDO Award for Final Degree Projects for her master’s thesis titled: “Meaningful conversations among teachers for informal and organizational learning,” which offers a descriptive study on how meaningful conversations in early childhood and primary schools contribute to informal and organizational learning, and the role of school leadership in promoting them.
This event was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of research and innovation in education and reaffirming CRiEDO’s commitment to reducing school dropout and fostering organizational and educational development.
