Publication of the Project Difference Report

The Project Difference report – Support for the training of students with learning differences. Development and results (2020-2023) has been published. This publication has been coordinated by Professor and Director of CRiEDO Joaquín Gairín Sallán with the collaboration of Angelina Sánchez Martí (Department of Applied Pedagogy) and Joaquín Serra, Sylvie Baguet, and Ana Planella from the Fisas Foundation.

The “Project Difference” focuses on developing new methods for the identification and individualized treatment of students with learning difficulties from an educational perspective. Using the Response to Intervention (RtI) approach, the project develops intensive and standardized programs for students at risk of specific learning difficulties (SLD). This preventive and integrative approach combines assessment, detection, and educational intervention with evidence-based methodologies.

Driven by The National Center for Learning Disabilities in the United States, the RtI movement has been a multidisciplinary effort over the past 30 years, aiming to help children with learning differences, primarily dyslexia and ADHD. The activity of the “Project Difference” has extended to more than 50 centers and impacted over 13,000 students in recent years, highlighting the importance of the evaluation carried out.
