Marisol Galdames-Calderón’s international postdoctoral stay

Marisol Galdames-Calderón is doing a postdoctoral stay at the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN), in Denmark.

As part of her training and professional development process, in the framework of her academic career, the postdoctoral researcher Marisol Galdames-Calderón is currently on a stay at the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN), in Denmark. The stay has a duration of 3 months, from August to November 2023. During this period, Marisol Galdames-Calderón has the opportunity to learn about the pedagogical practices of facilitators who foster entrepreneurial mindsets through Challenge Based Learning (CBL).. In her own words: “Every day is a different adventure. I watch the facilitators design challenging but fun tasks that stimulate students’ curiosity and ingenuity. I watch them patiently guide them and encourage them to take calculated risks as they develop real business projects. I cannot fail to mention how rewarding it is to interact with the students. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and watching them grow as entrepreneurs motivates me even more in my own research.”

Marisol Galdames-Calderón joined CRiEDO in January 2023 to carry out her postdoctoral period (2022-2024) in the framework of the Juan de la Cierva contracts, funded within the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research for the period 2021-2023, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. D. in Education and Society (UB), Master in Management and Administration of Educational Centers (University of Barcelona), Master in Planning and Evaluation of competencies and learning (Central University of Chile), Master in Early Childhood Education (University of Barcelona), Early Childhood and Initial School Educator (University of Chile), Bachelor in Education (University of Chile). Her lines of work are related to teacher training and higher education, pedagogical innovation and distributed leadership in schools. Currently, she is linked to the D-EMIND project, working for educational transformation through challenge-based learning.
