A new study published in the Revista Brasileira de Educação explores the perceptions of teachers, administrators, and education assistants regarding the key dimensions for forming Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in Chile.
The article, written by Marcela Andrea Peña Ruz and Carme Armengol Asparó, highlights that dimensions related to the development of mission and shared values, as well as internal relationships and collaborative learning, are positively valued. However, shared personal practice and the conditions and resources for the development of PLCs remain a challenge for management teams and sponsors.
This study provides a detailed insight into the internal dynamics of PLCs and offers recommendations for their improvement, emphasizing the importance of adequate conditions and resources for their effective development.
The study represents an important step in understanding and improving Professional Learning Communities in Chile, offering a solid foundation for future research and educational practices.
