La formación de directores y directoras escolares y la Inspección Educativa

Based on a review of the most characteristic functions associated with the performance of the inspection function, typical of a democratic professional model, the importance that we attribute to those that have the greatest impact on the professional development of the group of school directors is highlighted: training and advice. Considering the investigations of doctoral theses on the Inspection in Spain between the years 2008 to 2019 and those that are verified by means of a review of the literature in the same period, it is evidenced that our subject under study appears still weakly as a focus central analysis or deserves tangential and anecdotal consideration. In this article we intend to offer a panorama of reflections and proposals for practical action aimed at improving the performance of these functions by the inspection team.
