On June 30 and July 1, the national EdU-InA project held a new working meeting in Pontevedra, with the active participation of members from CRiEDO.
This gathering brought together researchers from six Spanish universities to advance the analysis of the impact of generative artificial intelligence on university teaching.
The project, funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, is coordinated by Cristina Mercader and Aleix Barrera-Corominas, researchers at CRiEDO, and includes the participation of the University of Vigo, the University of Granada, the University of León, the Open University of Catalonia, the Complutense University of Madrid, and Mondragon Unibertsitatea as a collaborating entity.
Representing the UAB and CRiEDO, Cristina Mercader, Aleix Barrera, and Joel Oliveras attended the meeting and contributed to discussions on the project’s two main lines of work:
- the study of teaching practices that incorporate generative AI, and
- the analysis of institutional policies that universities are implementing to adapt to this new technological landscape.
Through surveys, focus groups, and document review, EdU-InA aims to offer a global and critical perspective on how generative AI is being integrated into higher education, with the goal of designing a shared strategy to guide institutions through 2027.
With this participation, CRiEDO reaffirms its commitment to applied research and educational innovation, actively contributing to the development of collective responses to the new challenges facing university education.
