On September 16th, the presentation of RedAGE took place in Guatemala City at the Universidad San Carlos (USAC). The event was promoted by Professor Olga María Moscoso Portillo, as head of cooperation and international relations at that university.
It was attended by a group of more than 30 institutional leaders, and the presentation addressed aspects such as the network’s background, its member partners, and its operational structure. It also served to present its work regarding training programs, research, publications, and the impact of its activities.
The Support Network for Educational Management (RedAGE) is a non-profit scientific association regulated by current Spanish legislation and its bylaws.
The goals of the Association are:
- To develop a support network for school management between Spain and Latin American educational institutions.
- To plan and implement in-person and virtual academic exchange spaces aimed at energizing educational management in Latin America.
- To identify and implement lines of research relevant to the Latin American context.
- To promote joint peer-reviewed scientific publications, coordinated by the promoting groups.
- To define in-person training formats (courses, seminars, workshops, etc.) and specific events (conferences, training cycles, symposia, etc.) aimed at managers of educational systems and centers.
- To coordinate actions between CRiEDO and the educational management departments of Latin American universities.
- To establish working criteria to initiate joint lines of activity that other educational management departments in Latin American universities can join.
- To promote academic exchange between the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and participating Latin American university institutions.
