Management competences

Joaquín Gairin, Daniel Villaroel and Garcés Bustamante reflect about professional competencies of the school principals in vulnerable contexts.
The Scientific Journal Network of Latin American, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal (REDALYC) in their journal Educere has recently published an article written by Daniel Villaroel, Joaquín Gairín and Garcés Bustamante about “The professional competencies of school principal in institutions located in vulnerable contexts”. This article belongs to Villaroel’s thesis where he proposes a school director profile and their competencies when they work in vulnerable contexts. In this publication, they describe the methodology of the investigation as well as the results and conclusions.
The results that are described in the article, point to five possible domains developed in Villaroel’s thesis: entrepreneurial leadership, strategic management, high-quality curriculum, cultural organization, and education policy and management including twenty professional competences.
