III International Congress of inclusion and equity

On Monday 17th of November, ALFA-MISEAL project starts the 3rd International Congress “New challenges for Social Inclusion and Equity in Higher Education” within the framework of the project “Mesures for social Inclusion and Equity in Higher Education Institutions in Latin America” from ALFA III Program of the European Union.

This Congress wants to provide an area during 3 days for theorizing, discussing and sharing experiences in the design and implementation of measures in favor of social inclusion and equity in Higher Education Institutions. The Congress’ Opening speech is responsible of Ferrán Sancho Pifarré (Rector of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), María Conceição da Costa (Technical Coordinator of MISEAL -PAGU of Campinas, Brasil), Martha Zapata Galindo (Coordinator MISEAL-Europa of Universität Berlin), Montserrat Rifà Valls (Manager of Observatori per a la Igualtat in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and Claudi Alsina i Català (General Secretary of Interuniversity Board of Catalonia).
The main purpose of the congress is to deal with the challenges of inclusion and equity in higher education from reflection about the research and innovation that are trying to transform the higher education institutions in inclusive organizations. 

This Congress has several conferences with experts in social inclusion and equity, panels and roundtable discussion about the topics; as well as the presentation of the products made by MISEAL and areas for reflection and discussion. The closing ceremony will be on November 19th in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the participation of the Grup Estable de dansa from UAB.
