The IV International Congress of RedAGE, titled “Education and Quality Management for Sustainable Development”, was held at the Catholic University Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, Carapeguá Pedagogical Unit, in Paraguay. The event brought together educational authorities, academics, researchers, teachers, students, and community leaders.
During the first day, July 4th, the following keynote lectures were delivered:
- “Managing diversity and inclusion in higher education: Lights and shadows”, by Dr. Joaquín Gairín Sallán, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, President of RedAGE.
- “Quality management in higher education”, by Dr. José Duarte Penayo, President of the National Agency for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education in Paraguay.
- “Research management: Experiences from the National University of Asunción”, by Dr. Héctor Nacayama, General Director of Research at UNA, Paraguay.
- “Use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching planning for rural schools”, by Dr. Aracelli del Carmen Gonzales, from the National University of Callao, Peru.
The second day, July 5th, began with the lecture:
- “Higher education: Prospects from university social responsibility and sustainability”, by Dr. Jorge García Riart, from the Catholic University “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.”
The day continued with an expert panel on the topic:
- “Transforming education: Innovation and good management practices”, moderated by Dr. Diego Castro Ceacero, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Panelists included:
- Dr. Lilia Esther Guerrero, from the Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico.
- Lic. Jacy Soares, from the State University of Amapá, Brazil.
- Lic. Ángela María González, from the Nueva Luz Center for Pedagogical Recovery and Rehabilitation, Carapeguá, Paraguay.
The congress concluded with the presentation of the book:
- “The latest non-university educational reforms: Foundations, implementation, and results”, by Dr. Diego Castro Ceacero, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Throughout both days, thematic sessions were held where researchers presented various papers focused on three main themes:
- Innovation in educational and pedagogical management.
- Inclusion and diversity.
- Quality education and sustainability.
It is worth highlighting the participation of academics from several Latin American countries, including Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, and Paraguay, as well as from Spain.
