The co-coordinator of the Edu-InA project, Cristina Mercader, made a contribution at the symposium “Experiences and Practices of AI Use in University Teaching.”
On January 29th, the principal investigator of the project, Cristina Mercader, presented the Edu-InA research project at the symposium “Experiences and Practices of AI Use in University Teaching” organized by the Faculty of Biosciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, which hosted nearly 80 teachers and more than twenty experiences. This symposium took place on January 28th and 29th and consisted of sharing a series of contributions from different professors of the UAB from various fields of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Health Sciences, and Engineering.
Throughout the interventions of the various speakers, they highlighted the need for research on the use of AI in teaching, the need to rethink curricula, the political positions of universities, and the inclusion of students in training and research. Thus, the Edu-InA presentation was the last of the contributions presented, serving as the closing of the symposium and linking the contributions of teaching experiences with the current research.
The contribution made served, on the one hand, to disseminate the project, to identify potential informants for the qualitative objectives, and to establish contacts for future collaborations. The presentation was very well received among the symposium attendees and sparked interest among the attendees and organizers, who requested both the instruments once validated and invited the project to participate in a future edition by presenting the project results. Thus, the first connections and ties for the future were established, and the first step in the dissemination of the project was taken.
