Visit of Maira Lorena Trejos at CRiEDO

Maira Lorena Trejos Moncada visits our center for a research stay during the full month of October 2022.
Maira Lorena Trejos Moncada is a Physical Engineer, Master in Financial Administration and PhD candidate at the Catholic University of Manizales. She is currently a secondary school teacher at the PIO XII Educational Institution in the municipality of Salamina, department of Caldas-Colombia.
The research stay at the UAB aims to complement the theoretical and methodological horizon that supports knowledge management in educational organizations, as well as to identify the structure, characteristics and elements for proper organizational development according to the particularities of the Colombian context. The proposed and accepted research at the Catholic University of Manizales is called "process modeling based on knowledge management that contributes to the innovation ecosystem of educational organizations."
The purpose of this research is to propose a modeling of management processes under the perspective of knowledge management from the resources - capabilities approach; as well as proposing a management ecosystem that responds to all the processes involved in the activities and contexts of the public educational institutions of the Department of Caldas, with the aim of improving organizational processes through the implementation of theories and new models that allow understand principles, values and particularities that define a culture of trust within the organization; where the culture of continuous improvement, awareness of the environment and recognition of the capabilities of its members are the motivators to form multidisciplinary teams, collaborative networks and inter-institutional alliances in favor of quality education.
This research proposal arises from the systemic paradigm with a qualitative approach; the methodological strategy for the development of the same is contemplated from the general theory of systems, this being a starting point to understand educational organizations as complex systems that are in constant evolution, where they reveal autonomy and at the same time dependence, for this reason they are systems out of equilibrium.
The methodological approach proposed for the development of this research process is hermeneutical, adopted by Gadamer (1991) who states: "the search for truth is not carried out in isolation from the subject's experience, but rather, it is built on dialogue with personal and collective history, with its prejudices and mistakes, with its ambiguities and doubts, with the constant search to understand the other, not only through conversations, but behind what is not said”. (Aguilar 2004) (Grondin, 2013: 158) (Bolaños Vivas, 2015). This interpretive process is subjective, sensitive to transformations from the confrontation between the preconceived and reality. This is how, by relating the qualitative paradigm, the hermeneutic method and design, it is intended to interpret the experience and the administrative task from a holistic and systemic vision of a dynamic and changing reality.
Although he will not carry out any specific research during his stay, he hopes to learn from the entire team of the CRiEDO research group. In his words, "it is a great opportunity to learn and share experiences that strengthen ongoing academic processes."
