The article deals with the interest in the use of research in politics and education.

Interest in the use of research in politics and practice has grown in recent years, both for academics and users. This interest is due in part to changes in higher education institutions in many countries that emphasize a focused research focus that gives priority to the dissemination and transfer of research results to end users. The process represents a paradigm shift and a challenge, especially for countries where the transition from a university-based teaching model to 1:00 intensive research is still under way. Our research analyzes the perceptions of academics in relation to the use of their research in the formulation of policies in Romania. Fifteen academics responded to a survey based on a scale adapted using the research. The perception of academics is that educational research is generally not widely used by political and professional leaders. Academics have more influence on the transmission of knowledge and less in the rest of the process of using research (RU), which involves end users. In addition, they generally see research as part of their professional growth and less as a way of responding to social problems.
