FIET 2019

During the whole day today, the FIET 2019 (International Forum of Education and Technology) will take place in the Official College of Commercial Agents of Barcelona (COACB), this edition will be attended by members of the EDO group: Joaquín Gairín as Scientific Committee, and Cristina Mercader and Aleix Barrera as the Organizing Committee.

The theme of the day is "Artificial Intelligence in Education", following the common thread started in previous editions where reflection and proposals of a transforming nature were made based on the results of the research and evidence that it contributes.

The International Forum of Education and Technology, held for the first time in 2014, aims to be a meeting place where figures of international relevance related to the world of education and technology, reflect on its transformative role in a digital context.

This year's FIET is divided into two sessions: the morning and the afternoon one. The morning session is restricted to the members of the 9 groups that make up the FIET. The objective is to establish a dialogue with Jordi Albó (Tufts University) and Daniel Spikol (Malmö University, Sweden) to put on the table those aspects that are promising and threatening for education in the field of Artificial Intelligence to education. The second part of the program is open to the general public, and two activities are carried out: "The Researcher's Corner" where communications are presented by new researchers from several universities, and a Panel of Experts called "Hope or fear: What can the education of artificial intelligence expect?". In this, the speakers who will participate will be: Ulises Cortés (Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and UPC), Nardine Osman (Artificial Intelligence Research Institute - CSIC), Vicente Casas (RobÈtica, Colegio Madre de los Ángeles), Jordi Albó- Canales and Jaume Vilalta (Journalist).
