The resistances of the university teaching staff in the use of digital technologies

'Aula Abierta' has published the new article by Cristina Mercader, from the EDO Group, called "The Resistances of University Teachers in the Use of Digital Technologies" (Vol. 48, No. 2).
The article focuses on the university teaching staff and the reasons why they do not habitually use digital technologies in a habitual way as a Teaching-learning tool in the university classroom. The aim of the study is to identify the resistances of teachers at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona in the use of digital technologies.
For this, a sequential mixed methodology has been used, making questionnaires and interviews with faculty and departmental and faculty managers.
The results of the study show that the use of digital technologies is scarce, that it adds up as it depends on the predisposition and self-perception of knowledge of digital technologies, as well as the lack of planning and evaluation in the institutionalization of change is one of the greatest barriers existing
