Success of III CIEDO 2014

Ends the III International Congress EDO (CIEDO), held between 14th and 16th May 2014, with great success of participation and up to 390 attendees.
From the promoting institutions of III CIEDO we appreciate the participation and involvement in the activities proposed by all those attending the Congress. We would also like to highlight the quality of the contributions made, and especially congratulate the contributions awarded. The most significant and provisional conclusions related to the objectives of the Congress that were presented in the closure can be found at http://goo.gl/oFvhdQ. To summarize, they are:
1- Society considers knowledge and continuous training of employees as a strategic element of organizations.
2- Complex and dynamic realities demand greater collaborative efforts that can incorporate and share the individual, institutional and social knowledge.
3- The development of Communities of Practice (CoP) is linked to the strategies and tools facilitating their realization and the empowerment of the professionals involved.
4- There’s a need to accelerate the shift of training paradigm to one starting with active methodologies and linked to the requirements of professional practice.
5- Existence of multiple experiences applied to new learning methodologies in the workplace is observed.
6- Organizational culture, leadership, collaborative work or a flexible structure facilitate learning in the workplace.
7- The main difficulties to promote the improvement of professional practice through shared reflection are not only technical but also cultural.
8- Development of informal learning greatly improves systems and methodologies related to it.
9- The network has become an essential tool for sharing information, knowledge and experiences.
10- Social networks can also be an important tool for knowledge.
11- The validity of this new approach is subject to the application of direct and indirect evaluation processes that consider their formative and transformative sense.
