University and Vulnerable Collectives Congress
Open until 30th June the period of contributions to the ‘University and Vulnerable Collectives Congress’ that will be held on 29th and 30th October 2014 in Veracruz (Mexico), within the frame of ACCEDES project.
The ‘University and Vulnerable Collectives Congress’ that will be held in Veracruz (Mexico) on 29th and 30th October 2014 is set within the frame of ACCEDES project “Access and academic success of vulnerable groups at risk environments in Latin America”, funded by the European Commission (DCI/ALA2011-232).
Through lectures, panel discussions, symposia, papers and posters, the following aims will be faced: i) raise awareness of the difficulties involved in the globalization of higher education for individuals and vulnerable groups, ii) discuss strategies, actions, programs and policies that promote academic success in Higher Education Institutions (HEI), iii) strengthen the working lines and commitments in HEIs to improve the situation of vulnerable individuals and groups, iv) spread and contrast the results achieved by the ACCEDES project.
The period for making contributions, either in the form of free communications or communications linked to a symposium or a poster, will be open until 30th June 2014. The issues of the Congress are: good practices in the care of vulnerable groups in HEIs, strategies for the intervention with children and vulnerable groups, and attention to vulnerable groups in different areas of academic life.
