The article of the Magazine on Distance Education is already published in which members of the EDO participate.

This monograph is presented as a response to an indisputable fact: The use of the social web as a means of communication and a framework of relationship and coexistence between students and teachers. In it we want to emphasize the need for a framework of pedagogical model and instructional design that integrates it.

The text has the support of Anna Díaz and Joaquín Gairín, who participate in Chapter 5, entitled as 'Groups of Creation and Knowledge Management Network in a Program of Improvement in University Teaching'. In it, they explain why knowledge creation and management groups are an important resource for professional development, responding to the needs of updating and constantly improving the professional reality.

The development of the experience establishes a way to link groups of CGC using the social web in actions of permanent formation; also, that its use not only contributes to the professional and personal development of the teaching staff, but also favors institutional development.

The online publication also includes other authors from the University of Murcia, the University of Otawa, the German FernUniversitat, the University of Zaragoza and the University of Coimbra.
