Social inclusion at the university

The material that synthesizes the main contributions of the ACCESS4ALL project is now available.
This document, edited by Joaquín Gairín and David Rodríguez, presents the main contributions made within the framework of the project "ACCESS4ALL: Laboratory of policy and practices for social development in higher education", coordinated by the Organizational Development Team.
This publication aims to be a synthesis of the project and its most significant contributions, trying to give an overview of everything that has been done and achieved, while providing information on the mechanisms that allow access to accumulated knowledge. It is not only about disseminating the Project and its products, but also about encouraging and providing tools to university managers and managers to improve their intervention processes on the issue addressed. The ultimate goal is to help make the balance between quality and equity a reality in university systems. The document can and should be viewed, thus, as a general approach to the improvements that can be made in the organizational processes to improve the quality of equity, advising to deepen the aspects that interest from the documentation generated and referenced in it. text. Everything that has been done and achieved would not have been possible without the involvement of all the people participating in the Project, the institutions that have supported them and the resources provided by the European Union. To all of them, our gratitude and our willingness to receive the contributions that are considered appropriate or the questions that they want to raise.
ACCESS4ALL aims to promote education and social inclusion in the university of those less represented groups, proposing instruments and strategies to achieve this. It is thus related to two of the main priorities of Europe 2020: (1) smart growth: encouraging people to learn, creating new services that help to redirect social challenges and the use of ICT; and (2) inclusive growth: increasing the number of citizens with tertiary education and reducing the percentage of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
