On November 20, 21, and 22, Cristina Mercader and Laia Alguacil participated in the XXVII EDUTEC24 Congress: Educational Technology for a Multimodal Society, held in Seville.
The professors and researchers from CRiEDO presented two papers under the thematic line of the congress “Educational Innovation,” sharing results from projects associated with the center.
Firstly, they presented the paper “Enhancing Formative Assessment with Emerging Technologies.” Digital competence in education has become essential after the pandemic, which forced 800 million students to switch to distance education, revealing the lack of teacher preparation. This paper presents results from the D-Eva project.
Secondly, they presented the paper “BOOST: Enhancing the Development of Digital Teaching Competence with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.” The development of Digital Teaching Competence in Education degrees is undeniable. To train future teachers in this competence, university faculty must also be competent. At the Faculty of Education Sciences of the UAB, the need to train for the didactic use of digital resources, especially those related to Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, including practical examples of their application, has been identified.
