III Meeting and XVIII General Assembly of RETINDE in Santiago de Compostela

On November 28th and 29th, Santiago de Compostela hosted the III RETINDE Meeting and the XVIII General Assembly of the Transdisciplinary Network for Educational Research (RETINDE).

This event brought together prominent researchers and professionals in the educational field to discuss and strengthen collaboration in educational research.

RETINDE, created in 2016 by sixteen founding entities, is a network that brings together associations, scientific societies, and research groups with the aim of improving educational research and its impact on society. Its objectives include:

  • Contributing to the improvement of educational research and its impact on society, educational practice, and scientific knowledge.
  • Promoting the connection between research and the actions of professionals and educational practice.
  • Encouraging collaboration among the associations, societies, and networks linked to RETINDE and with other external and international entities.
  • Fostering the presence of educational research in society.
  • Becoming a recognized interlocutor with administrations.

The III RETINDE Meeting aimed to continue the work initiated in Madrid and Barcelona, strengthening the network and creating bonds among its members. The specific objectives of the meeting were:

  • Promoting a space for the exchange and debate of ideas among network members.
  • Deepening existing collaboration synergies to continue developing the network.
  • Identifying proposals for future actions for RETINDE.

As in previous editions, the meeting was free for attendees, who contributed their insights to the debate on the challenges, limitations, and possibilities of educational research today.

During the XVIII General Assembly of RETINDE, internal network matters were addressed, and the members of the new executive committee of RETINDE were elected, marking a new chapter in the management and direction of the network.

This event has been a significant step in strengthening collaboration and the impact of educational research in Spain and beyond.
