On June 25, 2025, a new edition of the International Forum on Education and Technology (FIET) will be held at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia.
This year’s theme is “Knowledge Construction in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Educational Uses of Digital Technologies.” FIET 2025 addresses knowledge construction in the era of artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on generative AI tools. These technologies allow for personalized learning and support knowledge creation, but require supervision to avoid standardization and promote creativity. FIET aims to guide research and educational innovation in this field.
FIET is an annual meeting that brings together teachers, researchers, students, and professionals from the educational field to discuss and reflect on technology and education. It is aimed at the entire educational community (policymakers and technical staff, teachers, students, researchers, companies related to the educational world), and especially at those interested in understanding how digitalization and AI are transforming our lives and how these changes impact and will impact education and knowledge construction processes.
FIET 2025 will take place over a one-day event, with a first part being a technical forum, restricted to research groups that are part of the consortium, to explore future research lines in technology and education; and a second part being a public forum, open to the participation of all registered individuals. This second part will be organized around a plenary conference, a communication space, and an experience forum where innovation projects for the digital advancement of educational centers will be presented.
