EDO presentation
On day 9th of November, EDO members will present its research group lines to the students of the Master of Research in Education.
Since its implementation, the members of EDO-UAB have coordinated the itinerary on " Organization Development and Management for the Change" within the framework of the Master of Research in Education, which promotes the Faculty of Education at the UAB. Currently, Marina Tomàs is the coordinator of this training route.
In relation to this, on the 9th of November, EDO members will present the current research lines of the group to the Masters students in order to facilitate the participation to those interested in current research projects. In this regard, the members of EDO participating in this activity are:
- Joaquín Gairín, will make a general presentation of the EDO group and its overall objectives.
- Diego Castro, will present the lines related to attention of vulnerable groups in Higher Education (Projects Access4All, ORACLE and APESE).
- David Rodriguez, will present the lines linked to knowledge management and informal learning (ICEDU Project).
- Marina Thomas, will focused her presentation on the lines related to leadership and gender in organizations.
- Katia Pozos, will present the lines related to the attention of diversity in educational organizations (Koinos project)
The Masters in Education Research of the UAB aims at train professionals that, throughout research, are able to respond to education-related social demands, academic and professions linked to education .
There is an academic continuity for graduates of the Master in Education Research of the UAB in doctoral studies. This is the route followed by a significant proportion of graduates of the master. But besides that, the skills acquired by students in this master will widen opportunities to other occupations related to:
- Counselling public administrations, organizations and companies in all fields related to education and training;
- Advising schools for solving problems related to teaching and organization, and in programs development and evaluation;
- Management and publishing consulting and development of innovative curriculum resources that include the advances in the research field ;
- Planning and management of institutions in the field of non-formal education (museums, libraries, educational institutions, cultural associations, ...) as well as in planning and organization of activities;
- Planning and management of documentary databases and research resource centres at research centres;
- Collaboration with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in the organization and evaluation of its programs related to education;
- Training of senior professionals with a broad view of educational processes developed in territories and institutions.
