New representatives

Carme Armengol and Diego Castro have been elected as representatives of the Faculty of Education at the UAB senate.
Today have been proclaimed the final results of vote at the Faculty of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where Carme Armengol and Diego Castro have been chosen to represent the Faculty of Sciences of Education. In the case of Dr. Castro, he will represent, with Anna Marbà, the staff of Sector B, with no permanent links to the University, and in the case of Dr. Armengol, her representation will be, with Rafael Merino, Antoni Santiesteban and Màrius Martinez, for teachers of Sector A, with permanent link at the UAB.
The Assembly is the highest representative body of the university community, which discusses the general guidelines of the University, controls the management of charges and drives the regulatory activity of other governing bodies. It is renewed every four years, except for the students sector, which is renewed every 2 years. It meets at least twice a year. In addition to operating through plenary sessions, the Senate may establish as well special commissions.
Its main actions are to develop and approve the Statutes of the University; reform the Statutes of the University, at the proposal of the rector, the Governing Council or a fifth of the cloistered; approve its own rules of operation; convene extraordinary election of the rector, in accordance with the provisions of the Article 59 of these Statutes; choosing and dismissing the ombudsman, approve the regulations by which it is governed and discuss the annual report directing the Senate on its activity; elect their representatives in the Governing Council; meet and discuss the broad outlines of the policy of the University; request information on any aspect of university activity to the rector and the other governing bodies, government or management; ask for a hearing at the Senate of the representatives of academic or institutional university bodies; make recommendations, proposals and institutional statements; discuss the reports submitted to it and assess the management bodies and services of the University; formulate policy proposals to be informed at the Governing Council; and work on the other powers attributed to it by the law, the currently Statutes and regulations.
