CRiEDO researchers David Rodríguez-Gómez and Diego Castro-Ceacero have published the article “Intergenerational relationships in higher education: promoting age-inclusive institutions”, a significant contribution to understanding how to foster higher education institutions that are more inclusive of generational diversity.
The article analyzes how interpersonal relationships between faculty members of different generations influence creativity, collaboration, and well-being within university institutions. Based on a survey of 1,044 Spanish academics, the study identifies the factors that promote intergenerational inclusion in teaching, research, and administrative roles. The results show that intergenerational contact is key to promoting a more cohesive and inclusive university culture.
