The A4a self-assessment tool is now available for Higher Education Institutions.
Inclusion is one of the great challenges for the current higher education contexts that are characterized by the increase of the complexity and diversity of students and situations. In view of this new scenario, the A4a self-assessment tool that has been developed for Higher Education Institutions that are willing to explore and improve their innovative and inclusive policies. is now available.
The A4a self-assessment tool covers six major factors organized in two main dimensions. Each factor of the tool has 5 indicators and each indicator presents 4 possible scenarios. Users should choose a single scenario, which best represents their institution, of each indicator. Or, if any dimension is not relevant to the institution itself or it does not have enough information to answer it, it can be left in blank. The tool can be used by individuals, groups or any type of formal institutional structure such as departments, institutes, schools, etc.
The main objective of this self-assessment report is to help the Higher Education Institutions to identify their current situation and explore viable areas for development. The results of this report are general and standardized suggestions that should be read with the necessary precaution that can be used to open discussions within HEIs, compare different views on the same HEI or to analyze perceptions about innovation and changes in Inclusion in the passage of time.
