Joaquín Gairín named member of the School Council of Catalonia

Joaquín Gairín has been named member of the School Council of Catalonia, representing the universities of Catalonia. In accordance with the provisions of article 171 of Law 12/2009, of July 10, on education, the Government is responsible for appointing the members of the Catalan School Council, at the proposal of the Minister of Education and with the prior request of the sectors represented. 

As a member of the Council, the director of the EDO-UAB group will form part of one of its regulatory commissions, which are the Planning Commission of the Education System, the Programming, Construction and Equipment Commission or the Finance Commission of teaching.

The frequency with which the meetings of these committees are convened depends on the normative projects sent by the Department of Education to be ruled.
