During the days 3rd to 8th of October professors Joaquín Gairín and Antonio Latorre have participated as teachers in a new edition of Teachers’ upgrading courses to academics from Universidad de Tarapaca. This upgrading is contextualized in the successful relationship maintained between UTA and EDO-UAB for years. The program of upgrading Chilean academics started in 20115 and will be developed until 2017, it gives continuity to Postgraduate programs in University Teachers’ training and Master’s Degree in University Training and Management that in previous years were developed.

In addition, the visit to Chile of Dr. Gairín which has participated on behalf of the EDO group at the 1st International Congress Duoc-UC, focused on the role and social responsibility of Career Technical Education and was held on October 11th at Santiago de Chile. Professor Joaquín Gairín is going to present the lecture "Improving society, improving ETP organizations: joint and connectedness, roads that are needed". His visit will also be relevant in order to share knowledge and experiences in relation to the model that Duoc-UC is driving on knowledge management associated with academic innovations
