Signing of Agreement

Last September the collaboration agreement between the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, representing the Organizational Development Team, and the National Secretariat of Science and Technology of the Government of Panama, for the development of training activities was signed aimed at strengthening the competences of teachers of secondary from the Ministry of Education government schools of the Republic of Panama. Specifically, the agreement foresees training of 70 teachers whom will participate in the Postgraduate program majoring in Math didactics or specializing in Science didactics.

The development of both programs includes on-site classroom training instances in which professors of the Applied Teaching Pedagogy and Sciences and Mathematics departments at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will participate. As well as, virtual phases in which the work of the participants will be more autonomous and receive tutorials and virtual monitoring by the UAB professors.

This agreement gives continuity to the more than 5 years of collaboration between EDO-UAB and the government of Panama for training teachers of secondary schools, strengthening their teaching skills in order to promote a better quality education to their youngsters.
