Aleix Barrera and Dulce Tienda, members of the EDO Group, will participate in the presentation day of the UrBIOfuture project in Brussels

Next Wednesday, September 18, the presentation of the UrBIOfuture project will take place in Brussels, within the framework of a Workshop aimed at those who challenge the process of developing research proposals linked to the work themes of the UrBIOfuture project. The Workshop will be based on four main pillars: climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials.

The main objective of the workshop is to bring together the European partners of different projects so that they can share their respective results, approaches, exchange best practices and provide ideas and concepts to establish a shared mindset for the development and possible implementation of new projects.

The project “UrBIOfuture - Boosting future careers, education and research activities in the European bio-based industry”, is coordinated from the UAB by Professor Joaquín Gairín. It has been funded by the European Union, through the Bio-Based Industries consortium, and under the Horizon 2020 program, with an amount of € 946,586.

The project aims to bring Europe to the forefront of the Bio sector by identifying educational needs and gaps in the Bio sector in Europe, pointing out career opportunities in research and involving all interested parties in a co-creation process that offers the “UrBIOFuture” experience as a fundamental tool to attract talent and provide professional guidance.
