On November 8, 9 and 10, the UAB Orienta4VET project team will participate in the XVII CIOIE Congress.
The project team will participate in a symposium titled “Innovating the Way Vocational Training is Delivered: Educating Instructional Strategies to Improve Retention and Prevent Attrition.” In this symposium, the team will delve into the field of guidance and mentoring strategies in Vocational Education and Training (VET), focusing on preventive, interventionist and compensatory approaches in three specific European contexts (Catalan, Portuguese and German). The importance of these strategies lies in their fundamental role in improving student retention and preventing early dropout. On the other hand, the team will talk about the most important risk factors that often lead to abandonment of professional education. By understanding these factors, effective solutions can be developed to overcome them and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed in their career path.
The XVII International and Interuniversity Congress on the Organization of Educational Institutions (CIOIE 2023), which will take place in Oviedo, periodically convenes university teachers and researchers, directors and managers, those responsible for educational policies, advisors to organizations, specialists and scholars of aspects related to the topics that are addressed given their impact on formal, informal and non-formal education. The conferences and invited presentations, the simultaneous symposiums, the project tables, the communications and the posters that participate in this congress contribute to better understanding the reality of the organizations.
