On Wednesday, November 19, the first dissemination webinar of the EdU-InA project took place, titled “Knowledge, Use and Positioning of University Faculty Regarding Generative AI”.
This online event, organized via Microsoft Teams, launched the series of seminars “Educational Policies and Practices on Generative AI”, which will accompany the project’s development with the aim of sharing progress and results on the integration of generative artificial intelligence in higher education.
During the webinar, the preliminary results of Specific Objective 1.1 were presented, focusing on diagnosing the level of knowledge and use of generative AI among university faculty in Spain. The program included:
- Welcome and project presentation by Cristina Mercader (UAB).
- Keynote lecture: “Being Competent in AI for Teaching”, by Amaia Arroyo-Sagasta (Mondragon Unibertsitatea).
- Presentation of preliminary results by Micaela De Armas (UAB), Manuela Ordóñez (Universidade de Vigo), and Estefanía Gómez (Universidad de León).
- Open dialogue with participants, moderated by Inmaculada Gómez-Jarabo (UCM).
The EdU-InA project (Policies and Practices on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (PID2023-149069OA-I00), aims to promote the integration of generative AI in universities from an ethical, equitable, and evidence-based perspective.
