Issue number 5 of the Encuentros de la RedAGE series has been published, titled “Governance and Leadership for Global Justice: A Critical Analysis of How Educational Governance and Leadership Processes Are Shaped in Ibero-America”. The report was coordinated by Andrea Tejera Techera and Joaquín Gairín Sallán.
This volume compiles the main contributions from teachers, researchers, and administrators presented during the 5th International Congress on Educational Management, organized by ORT Uruguay University under the sponsorship of RedAGE Uruguay and RedAGE International.
The book frames educational management not as a series of administrative or functional procedures, but as a field of ethical and political action aimed at guaranteeing the universal right to quality education. From a global justice perspective, the report examines how to move beyond simple school coverage to guaranteeing real, inclusive, and sustained learning pathways. Likewise, it examines a context-driven governance where educational policies do not produce automatic results, but are instead redefined by stakeholders and the organizational cultures of each Ibero-American region. In this context, the publication places pedagogical and distributed leadership at the heart of educational change, viewing it as a collective practice oriented toward organizational well-being and collaboration.
Finally, the volume brings together experiences and research on key topics such as multilevel governance, leadership professional development, learning communities, the management of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, and inclusion in Higher Education.
