New publication of José Luis Muñoz: “Municipalities and educational development.”

"Municipalities and educational development" is the title of a new book by Jose Luis Muñoz in which he analyzes the municipalities´ implications in education and through the municipalities.
The work (Popular Editorial, Madrid) is interesting as it provides a model and a tool for analyzing educational development promoted by municipalities. This meets one of the problems faced by municipalities and their councils: combining external assessment models, and general and standardized indicators that are based on social and educational services, with proprietary models, contextualized and more focused on processes.
For the author, "the municipalities who are capable of constant renovation and reinvention have appropriate strategies for dealing with situations of constant change that requires by the environment." This refers to the municipalities that adapt to change with a quick speed as they learn from their processes and practices, and they have the desire to progress and to improve educational development of the municipalities.
José Luis Muñoz is a Pedagogue with Ph.D of Quality and Process of Educational Innovation, research Organizational Development Team (EDO) and professor in the Department of Teaching and School Organization of the University of Valencia.
