New incorporation of Lorena Pulido Mantas to the EDO Group, working as a researcher in training linked to the PBE-TOOLS project - Evidence-based educational practices: design and validation of strategies for the improvement of educational centers - funded under the Challenges of the Program National R + D + i Plan of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Ref. EDU2017-88711-R) and coordinated by Joaquín Gairín and Georgeta Ion. The project has two main objectives: to design and validate strategies that allow the adoption of practices based on scientific evidence from a collaborative approach and research communities; and to install in the educational centers some dynamics of operation that allow to transfer the innovation based on scientific evidences to other curricular innovations, generating and developing a sustained organizational learning. Likewise, Lorena will also collaborate in other research and projects whose objectives are focused on optimizing the teaching and learning processes.

Lorena has a degree in teaching, a degree in psychopedagogy and a postgraduate degree in the Master's Degree in Dependence and Equality in Personal Autonomy from the University of Jaén. He has previously been linked to the University of Jaén, researching in the Orientation Educational Research and Development (IDEO) group, with the TIMONEL R&D Project: Recommendation System (SR) based on student orientation and mentoring needs and European university graduates.

The doctoral thesis that Lorena develops focuses on the processes of change and on the personal, professional and institutional barriers that arise when it comes from research to practice in educational centers. Investigating and examining the difficulties encountered by teachers in establishing a work plan to apply Evidence-Based Educational Practices (PBE).
