Marita Navarro finishes her Pre-doctoral stay at University of Valencia

During the last days of October and the beginning of November, PhD student and professor, Marita Navarro made a stay at the University of Valencia to further study the aspects related to methodology of research.
Professor Marita Navarro has done a stay for research at the University of Valencia, in the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology, area of methodology and techniques of social research, under the supervision of Dr. Rosario Fernández-González Coronado. The stay, which lasted from the last days of October to the first week of November has helped to continue preparing her doctoral thesis entitled "Professional development of teaching management" led by Dr. Carmen Armengol Asparó.
The purpose of the stay was to deepen the analysis and treatment of qualitative data and also was useful to conduct interviews with different members of the sociology department of education with whom the researcher has analyzed the different lines of the ongoing research.
Marita Navarro has been an Associate Professor at Department of Applied Education at UAB since 1983 and a member of the EDO. After practising teaching management for 25 years she began her doctoral studies by undertaking the Master of Research in Education in 2009. She is currently working on the doctoral thesis of the necessity to understand how the management works in the usual environment of multi-case methodology. At this time, she has made the theoretical framework and a lot of field study in her second year of PhD.
