Management of Centers for Educational Innovation

The Diploma "Management of Centers for Educational Innovation ", which is organized jointly by FIDECAP and EDO and supported by the Ministry of Education of Chile, began at the last week of November.
The process of Chilean educational reform supports what teams and managers profile with a net pedagogical leadership and guidance to be and to act as agents of change. This implies a clear decision towards achieving significant levels of quality in educational services offered by school organizations.
In this context, it is rational to consider the directors as a catalyst for institutional change that can be capable to learn from their failures and improve their level of development.
The diploma programme based on semi-presential methodology is designed for managers in service as well as those who are interested in taking the overall charge to generate a plan based on seven principles:
- The school management
- Schools as learning organizations in process of learning
- Managers as change agents and school leadership in relation to diversity
- Directors and management of institutional approaches
- Directors and management of resources at school
- Directors advocates for change and innovation in the school
- Design, development and innovation projects in schools
The course is fully funded by the Ministry of Education of Chile and is jointly organized by the Organizational Development Team and FIDECAP. Both institutions already have a long history of cooperation both in training managers to develop projects of cooperation between Spain and Chile.
In the following year of 2012 it is intended to carry out a new edition of the diploma. For more information visit the website of FIDECAP (http://www.fidecap.cl/ ).
