International Seminar on Educational Leadership, Learning, and Inclusion

On May 23, 2025, in an effort to address contemporary challenges in the educational field, the Support Service for Educational Improvement (SAME) and the Iberian Observatory of Educational Leadership (EDULID) will organize an International Seminar under the theme “Educational Leadership, Learning, and Inclusion.”

Among the notable participants are the director and several professors from CRiEDO. Their participation underscores CRiEDO’s commitment to improving educational practices and strengthening academic ties between Spain and Portugal. This is a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration between educational institutions on the Iberian Peninsula, with the aim of promoting a more humane, supportive, and free education.

This event will bring together three prestigious universities: the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Porto.

The seminar, which will be held at the Carvalho Guerra Auditorium of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto, aims to interconnect three key concepts that influence the daily life of schools: leadership, learning, and inclusion. The organizers hope that this meeting will promote a more humane, compassionate, and creative future in the educational field.

The objectives of the Seminar are:

  • Present the vision and objectives of the Iberian Observatory of Educational Leadership.
  • Establish interactive networking dynamics between universities and primary and secondary schools.
  • Design scenarios for emancipatory and inspiring leadership.
  • Map the relationships between leadership, learning, and assessment.
  • Understand students’ feelings and perspectives on leadership practices.

The event will feature the participation of prominent academics and education professionals, who will share their knowledge and experiences through round tables, discussion panels, and interactive sessions. Among the speakers are Isabel Braga da Cruz, Vice-Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and Joaquín Gairín, Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

The day will begin at 9:00 am with the reception of participants and will extend until 5:30 pm. Participation will be exclusively in-person and will have a symbolic cost of 5 euros.
