Coordination Meeting of the FUESE Project

On April 28, 29, and 30, the third coordination meeting of the FUESE project was held at the Heredia campus of the National University of Costa Rica.

During these days, progress was made in defining the EDESU Model to identify the type (level) of development of the different university extension activities in the Central American region. Additionally, the first draft of the methodology to evaluate the impact of extension actions at the university was designed, and finally, an event open to the extensionist community of the city of Heredia was held, with participation in PAIPAM.

Representatives from the 12 Central American institutions and two European institutions attended the session. Dr. Cecilia I. Suárez and Dr. Diego Castro were the delegates for this event on behalf of CRiEDO.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the impact of higher education institutions on the socioeconomic ecosystem through impact evaluation and the transformation of institutional policies and practices.

With a duration of three years (until December 2026) and a budget of €794,340.00, the proposal was presented in Erasmus-EDU-2023, under Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education. This project aims to install new capacities in higher education institutions in Central America.

All information about the project is available on the official website.
