On January 29, the first coordination meeting of the REDU-CAT project was held.
This first meeting of the project “Network of Centers Informed by Research Evidence: Design and validation of a model in Catalonia (REDUCAT)” had the objective of getting to know the work team, presenting and reviewing the project and delimiting the tasks, agreements and commitments. Also plan the work plan for the months that the project will last.
The REDU-CAT project, led by professor and CRiEDO member Georgeta Ion, aims to integrate research evidence into the Catalan educational system. Through the collaboration of teachers, management teams, researchers and key agents, the aim is to develop the research capacity of the agents involved, accompany the centers in the use of the model and take advantage of the potential of professional networks to support informed improvement processes. for the evidence.
REDU-CAT will be designed considering a set of key factors, including: the pedagogical basis of teachers’ motivations, teaching practices, organizational culture, research capacity of teachers and centers. Furthermore, it aims to be an example of collaborative work and empowerment of educational agents, giving teachers a key space to co-construct concepts, content and tools.
