Yolanda Maria Munoz, a member of EDO of the University of Alcala de Henares, will participate in the "International Conference on Inclusive Education. Developing Learning and Participation in Educational Institutions" on March 13.

The generalization of primary and secondary education is becoming a major concern for countries in Latin America. Thus, the various initiatives that appear year after year pointing to development of 'quantitative' policies (education for as many citizens as possible) should be complemented by  'qualitative' policies of positive discrimination and support to those social groups by whose economic , geographic, ethnic or cultural vulnerability manifest more significant difficulties in access to higher education.

The International Conference on "Inclusive Education. Developing Learning and Participation in Educational Institutions" which will be held in Santiago, Chile, on March 13 promises to be an interesting space for joint reflection of experts from different countries on the need of improving and expanding inclusive education in the Latin American context. The meeting will be attended by Tony Booth (Cambridge University), Ignacio Figueroa (Universidad Diego Portales, Chile), Roberto Fernandez (University of Alcalá, Spain) and Yolanda Munoz (University of Alcalá, Spain, and member of EDO).ñ

Yolanda Munoz Martinez, Ph.D in education from the University of Alcala de Henares in Madrid, and Assistant Professor of UAH in Department of Education.
